Spring 2021 Graduating Student Campus Access

Dear Graduating Students:

We are pleased to formally announce that the City of Pasadena Public Health Officials have agreed to allow spring term graduating students access to campus.  With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases across the state, we cannot emphasize enough that the authorization we have been granted is truly a privilege that other colleges and universities have not obtained.  While the authorization comes with stipulations, we are confident that students coming to campus will have a fulfilling experience as long as all protocols are strictly adhered to.

Several of the recent internal communications have outlined the specific protocols around COVID-19, security screening requirements, travel, and the service bureau process. We ask that you review the main website for specific details prior to returning to campus, paying close attention to the health and safety guidelines.

The Spring 2021 graduating students can commence requesting access on Monday, February 8. Initial requests are to be made to each department’s coordinators.  Specific space access will be managed through various platforms depending on the department and space being requested.

Below are the specific requirements to request access:

  • All individuals must have already completed the mandatory safety session COVID-19 Safety Protocols, prior to requesting access;
  • All individuals must request campus access through the Envoy app daily. Please see the Screening protocols and procedures section of the Campus Access Protocols page on Inside ArtCenter for information and directions about the app and the screening process;
  • All individuals are required to wear a face cover, maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance, and practice strict hand hygiene while on campus;
  • Access will be restricted to the specific areas requested;
  • There will be a maximum time allowance for each scheduled visit; and
  • All individuals must check in-and-out with Campus Security and within the Envoy App at each building’s main entry point.

Campus Access Reservations
As part of our city approval, we have to limit the number of students that can be in each building at any given time. Based on those limits we have created a reservation system to access all of the spaces listed below. Reservations must be requested at least one day in advance and are on a first-come, first-served basis. For some resources, such as computer access, you will be assigned a building and room once your request has been reviewed. To make a reservation please use the following methods to contact each area:

In the meantime, if you need access to a space outside of those listed above, please contact Jenniffer Cruz.  She will help connect you with the appropriate departments to see if accommodations can be made.

The College is required to have check-in calls with the City of Pasadena on our progress.  So our success and continuing campus access largely depends on you.   It is imperative that all protocols be strictly adhered to.

If you have any questions please send them to ehs@artcenter.edu.

Be safe and be well,
