What is Art Center at Night?
Art Center at Night (ACN), the part-time non-degree, continuing studies program at Art Center College of Design, provides a wide range of courses scheduled throughout the week. In keeping with the international reputation of the Art Center College of Design, Art Center at Night provides the same high educational standards for part-time students in classes at the College’s Hillside Campus, South Campus and online.

How often do ACN classes meet and how long is a term?
Studio courses meet for 14 weeks unless otherwise noted. Look for shorter sessions among specialized workshops and Humanities and Sciences offerings. A typical class meets once or twice per week. See the Calendar for term start and end dates.

Can I get a degree or certificate through the ACN program?
Although there is no degree or certificate of completion offered through Art Center at Night, this is an excellent program for students considering application to one of Art Center's full-time bachelor's degree program to hone their skills and build their admissions portfolio in an environment that reflects the high standards for which Art Center is known worldwide.

How do I find out more about admissions and portfolio requirements to the degree programs offered at Art Center College of Design?
The Viewbook for Art Center College of Design, which details admissions and portfolio requirements for the degree programs, is available online.
If you live in the US, you may request a printed version of the catalog. Because these are mailed out in "bulk mail", it will take approximately 3 weeks to receive. If you live locally or are visiting the campus, you may pick up a catalog in the Admissions office Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm PT.
After you have read through the catalog, you may email questions for the Admissions office to admissions@artcenter.edu or call 626.396.2373. You may also call this same number to schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor.

My "password has expired", what does this mean?
Your temporary password is only valid the first time you login to your account. You will need to reset your password by visiting acid.artcenter.edu and completing the security challange and response questions.Your password must be a combination of letters and numbers and six to nine characters in length.

I forgot my password, what should I do?
You can reset your password if you have already completed the security challenge and response questions from acid.artcenter.edu. Once you have completed these security questions, click "My Account" and then "My Password." You will then be directed to answer the security challenge and response questions. A new password will be emailed to you. If you still have difficulty resetting your password, contact the South Campus Technology Help Desk at: 626.396.4234 or helpdesk@artcenter.edu.

Can I register by phone?
No. You may register online (priority registration), via mail or fax, or in person.

Can I audit a class?
No. Auditing of ACN classes is not permitted.

My bank notified me that my tuition check bounced. What do I do?
Contact the accounting office at Art Center at 626.396.2332 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
Please let the accounting personnel know the following:
1. Your name (first and last) and student ID number (provided with your course confirmation letter); 2. You are an Art Center at Night student; and 3. You received notification from your bank that your check was returned for insufficient funds. The accounting personnel will tell you how to proceed. A $10 fee will be charged for any returned checks.

I think I received an incorrect grade/ Who do I contact?
You should first verify your grade with Enrollment Services at 626.396.2314. If you feel you received an unfair grade, you may petition the instructor for a change. Grade Change forms are available in the ACN office and must be signed by your instructor. All requests for grade changes must be submitted within 90 days of the end of the semester in question.

How can I contact my instructor?
Instructors at the college and in the ACN program do not have on-campus offices or telephone extensions. The ACN office is unable to relay messages to your instructor. If you know in advance that you will be unable to attend class, please discuss your situation with your instructor, and when possible, make arrangements with the instructor or a fellow student to get notes, assignments, etc. When this is not possible, please discuss your situation with your instructor at the following class meeting.
