Title: Coordinator, Educational Partnerships and Study Away

Type - Full-time staff


In support of comprehensive industry engagement and study away programs at Art Center, the Coordinator for Educational Partnerships and Study Away will provide instrumental support in the facilitation and implementation of interactive industry engagement at Art Center College of Design, including, but not limited to sponsored project courses, DesignStorms, Executive Education, and Study Away programs. This position will work closely with the Executive Director of Educational Partnerships, Director of International Exchange and Study Away, Assoc. Dir. of Sponsored Project, Sr. Coordinator of Educational Partnerships, faculty, and development staff.


  • Assist supervisors in the organization and execution of Sponsored Projects, DesignStorms, Executive Education, Student Exchange and Study Away programs, and other educational initiatives
  • Provide support for Exchange and Study Away students, faculty, and Chairs: answer inquiries; coordinate logistics, meetings and events; manage files, databases, and application forms; track and assist with the study away program proposal process
  • Arrange details of prospect and partner visits: catering, parking, IT needs, etc.
  • Assist with program orientations for Study Away, Sponsored Projects & DesignStorms, etc. and the development of related student and faculty resources
  • Coordinate requests for project kick-offs and reviews, i.e. specific AV needs
  • Maintain vendor database and set up contracts with providers
  • Oversee the disbursement of student stipends for all Study Away programs, Sponsored Projects, DesignStorms, Executive Education, and Funded Research
  • Process travel requests, purchase orders, reimbursements, and check requests
  • Coordinate with Accounting to process student charges associated with study away programs, sponsored projects, DesignStorms, Executive Education and Funded Research and work directly with students on billing and resolving related charges
  • Assist in the development of collateral materials for Educational Partnerships and all related programs
  • Compile content/images for a website presence for Educational Partnerships and all related programs
  • Maintain presence on social media sites
  • Edit and write correspondence and campus announcements for Educational Partnerships and all related programs
  • Manage prospect research tracking documents
  • Manage program evaluations
  • Use Datatel system to code study abroad students and create reports
  • Research visas and vaccinations for Study Away programs
  • Research scholarship opportunities and manage listings related to Study Away
  • Oversee the packing and shipping of select sponsored project work for display/exhibitions
  • Order all supplies for Educational Partnerships office


  • Familiarity with the fields of Art and Design required
  • Experience working in education strongly preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
  • Strong communication / organizational skills
  • Comfort with internal public speaking, addressing diverse audiences of students and faculty
  • Proficient with Photoshop, Power Point or Key Note
