Notice of Data Security Incident

ArtCenter takes the protection and proper use of information very seriously. Out of an abundance of caution, would like to make you aware of a security incident involving, Blackbaud, Inc., a third-party service provider, that may have included personal information. We were recently notified that an unauthorized party obtained a file that may have contained publicly available data, such as contact information, birthdates, demographic information, and the history of your relationship with ArtCenter.

It is important to note, though, that credit card information was not compromised. Additionally, bank account information and social security numbers are not stored in the Blackbaud environment.

Based on the nature of the incident, Blackbaud's research, and third-party investigation, we have been advise that no information went beyond the cybercriminal, and that no information was or will be misused, or will be disseminated or otherwise made available publicly. Blackbaud has notified us that they were able to quickly identify the vulnerability associated with this incident, including the tactics used, and took swift action to safeguard against similar attacks in the future. Upon receiving the notice, we immediately implemented our response plan, and we are confident that no further action is necessary.

ArtCenter considers the safeguarding of personal information to be of the utmost priority, and all matters of cybersecurity and data stewardship. We regret this incident and any concern that it may cause.
