Biography

A cultural historian and curator, Margo Bistis has been teaching humanities classes at ArtCenter since 2003. She received her doctorate in history from Brown University. A scholar and curator, her publications and exhibitions include articles on philosophical modernism, caricature and urban culture, and "Comic Art: The Paris Salon in Caricature" organized by the Getty Research Institute in 2004. Her most recent work—a collaboration with author Norman M. Klein—is a media narrative and printed book. Commissioned and published by ZKM / Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, The Imaginary 20th Century has shown internationally in exhibitions in the U.S., Europe, Mexico and Asia.
