Biography

A writer/producer in television since 1980, Ron has worked in half-hour comedy and animation, hour-long comedy and drama, feature originals and feature rewrites. He has written pilots for every primetime network, as well as for such cable networks as Showtime, FX, USA, ABC Family, Lifetime, and Disney, and has been nominated for 7 Emmys, 3 Cable Ace Awards, and 2 Writers Guild Awards. He has developed projects with Steven Speilberg, Ron Howard, George Lucas, Dick Donner, Steve Tisch, and F. Gary Gray. He has taught screenwriting at Art Center/College of Design since 1986, writing for animation at California State University at Long Beach since 2015, film literacy and writing seminars at Dreamworks Animation, a 2-day seminar in Mumbai, India, and has consulted for the Australian Film Commission. Ron is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Writers Guild of America, and the Directors Guild of America. He currently has three features in the market with producers attached, and is developing an adult animated series with Bruce Willis.
